The Rules of The Controversy Game Show

  1. To become a contestant, your name must be entered into the drawing box on game day.
  2. Contestants will be drawn randomly from the box.
  3. A coin toss will determine which side of the debate each contestant is on. The first called contestant will call it. If the coin doesn’t toss his/her way, then the second called contestant gets the call.
  4. Time will be allocated equally for each contestant to present their argument.
  5. The audience is to remain silent while the debates are in session.
  6. Each debater will be given a 1-minute rebuttal at the end of each debate as a last appeal to the audience.
  7. The audience must text their vote to a designated number provided by the host in order for the vote to count.
  8. There is only one vote allowed per cell phone number per debate.
  9. The winners of the first two debates advance to the grand prize round.
